This year for Labor Day, Hunter was working.
I really wanted to do a little something fun with the kids since they were out of school.
Thankfully, I hatched a plan on Sunday night.
These days, with Manzo's nap, it's best to just get out the door as early as possible, have fun all morning, and then come back and have a relaxing afternoon at home during his nap.
Gone (for now) are the days when we have a slow & lazy morning and then make our way out the door for an adventure at lunch time. We've got to be on our toes & ready to go first thing in the a.m. if we want to have some fun away from the house.
(sidenote: Manzo is down to one nap these days. It happened earlier than I expected. I love it when my babies get to the wonderful world of ONE BIG LONG NAP. More on that in a future post.)
I decided to take the kids to Stone Mtn for some bike riding. We woke up, threw our clothes on, and decided to get Smoothie King for breakfast--which is something we've never done. Superboy & Punkin were SO excited.
YAY! Smoothie King!!!
Load bikes in car. Put baby in carseat. Make sure we have everything we need. Drive to Smoothie King.
YAY! Smoothie King!! I wonder what flavor I want to get!
Smoothie King is looking awfully dark inside.....and there are no cars in the parking lot or drive thru.
Hmmmm....
Okay, kids--Smoothie King is closed. Let's go to Plan B.
Plan B: we got Mango smoothies from Panera, which is basically in the same parking lot. Problem solved. And by the way, their mango smoothie is SO very good. It's expensive, but it's really good. I'm going to give Panera the benefit of the doubt and say that it's expensive b/c they use really good ingredients.
{to be continued tomorrow....! although don't hold your breath. Basically we went bike riding. That's about it.}
{the only reason I'm doing Part II tomorrow is I need to close out this post and go do some stuff while my little guy is napping.}
